Rapid ROI Sales Training

If you don't have customized sales training for your product or service, you're losing money.

Anyone can learn to be an expert salesperson and it doesn't have to take as long as you might think.

Great salespeople are often viewed as magical miracle workers who just have a natural talent for closing people. It would seem their skills are indefinable and inherent. This isn't true.

Given the right training, anyone can rapidly become an excellent salesperson.

Given the right training is the key phrase. There's an ocean of sales training systems out there, many that are very expensive and they all proclaim that they're the best. When you flip through the many sales books, you run into hundreds of different advices and principles, many that sound pretty good. The problem isn't a lack of good information, it's an inability to teach it effectively.

Most training methods don't work regardless of what you're trying to teach--sales, customer service or administrative tasks.

By "don't work," I mean they are slow, they don't teach all the information required to do the job, they don't result in 100% job efficiency and they aren't well accepted by the staff. What they do result in are employees that are confused and unstable, that need a lot of on-the-job training and that make a lot of errors...factors that cost you significant sums of money.

Now, that might sound pretty arrogant of me to say. Well, not only have we worked with everyone from small business owners to global corporations and have seen all kinds of training methods in action, we've researched and tested many of the popular systems currently available. I'm speaking from experience when I say most methods don't work.

Unfortunately, the employee training industry is full of expensive, complicated "solutions" that don't work.

So, when we set out to build our sales training, we first scoured through countless sales books and systems and, through rigorous testing over a 2-year period, isolated the key sales principles and techniques that were easy to learn and immensely workable. Coincidentally, they were also very simple.

The fact is, you don't need to know every technique and principle out there to be a great salesperson. Through 2 years of research and testing, we found that you only need to be familiar and skilled with a relatively small set of principles and tools in order to be a successful salesperson.

Our sales training includes the follow programs:

Closer Training

The Closer Apprenticeship

The Master Closer Program

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to participate in sales training programs in fields as diverse as automotive, real estate and franchise sales.  And while these programs were in the most part extremely good, they all had one shortcoming:  each was almost totally front-loaded, only addressing those entry-level basics necessary for a sales person to start up with a minimum of catastrophes.  Well-intentioned plans for ongoing sales and developmental training somehow would be pushed further down the corporate priority list until they disappeared altogether.

When I started with CES in February, however, I found the company’s commitment to be the complete opposite of my past experiences.  CES' sales training built competency in little “baby steps” so that in my second week I had 17 verified sales.

Next, the apprenticeship closer training also moved through manageable gradient steps and in the week immediately following its completion I went from 6 to 22 verified closes.

Thank you Ashley, Adrienne and Sonya for your skills, conviction and good humor.  I’m looking forward to continuing the process.

In the end, it’s all about “asking for the business.” Because if you don’t ask for the business, you’ll never get it.  This is why our managers have us drill each other everyday.  To drill it into our heads to ask for the business or go for the close on every call.

This is what our trainers train us for.  They train us to drill correctly, they train us to ask for the business when we’re drilling, to close every call.

I can’t count how many times at how many companies I’ve seen people come out of training a brand new superstar then, in just a few weeks or maybe a month, they’re gone; quit or fired from lack of production.

But here at CES, I look around me and I see the opposite.  People get better here.  Our numbers go up, not down.  And where does it start?  With the training staff:  Sonya, Ashley and Adrienne.  Constantly training and retraining us to ask for the close when we drill, to go for the business.  And our managers, drilling it into us that the only way to write a deal is to ask for it, because if you don’t ask for it, you’ll never get it.  So all of our success as salespeople here is owed to the staff here at CES; our trainers, our managers and CES as a whole.  Thank you.
