Accelerated Training Solutions was a true "by the bootstraps" start-up. It started 2 years ago with sales training I built for my father's energy sales company, Consumer Energy Solutions, which maintains a sales force of 100 to 150 salespeople. CES was transitioning from selling mainly to residential customers to selling mainly to commercial customers, and of course business owners are tougher prospects than housewives. The training needed to rapidly take someone who knew little or nothing about energy or sales to someone who had sufficient product and sales knowledge to handle shrewd, skeptical businessmen.
Under the guidance of my father, who has over 30 years of business experience including building and owning two multi-million-dollar sales companies, I spent the next six months building and testing sales training that relied heavily on clarifying industry and sales basics and drilling the already-successful techniques used by top salespeople. Our goal was to systematically clone our best salespeople and we tested many different learning methods, and after six months of testing and revising, we had perfected the training machine. The project was a screaming success, exceeding all expectations. Production went way up and turnover went way down. This was the beginning of the Rapid ROI™ system.
Word traveled and a business consulting company in California was next. Their new-client sales were bottomed out and the owner approached Patrick for help. My father and I proposed a new sales system to the consulting company and provided them with revised scripts and an implementation program to build the area. Statistics quickly rose and that system has since blossomed into a 20-man sales team that generates 70% of their business. Soon after their success began, Patrick decided that a company needed to be built around these services.
Accelerated Training Solutions was born, and other companies quickly lined up for sales solutions. A consulting company in Florida has seen a 50% increase in the average monthly sales to new clients and they've only begun to fully implement our system.
This success in sales illustrated the need for effective training in all areas of organization, so ATS' scope was expanded. Our products and services now embrace much more than sales training.
